Atlas Dark Sky Foundation

As the former vice president of the Atlas Dark Sky project, I am proud to work alongside Prof. Zouhair Benkhaldoun and his team on this groundbreaking initiative, both nationally and internationally. The project aims to establish an international dark-sky reserve covering a vast area, including the Toubkal National Park.

If approved, Atlas Dark Sky will become the first dark-sky reserve in North Africa and the largest in the world, with an 80 km radius. This reserve will protect the exceptional quality of the night sky for scientific, educational, cultural, and environmental purposes, and will promote sustainable development in the region.
